Triquell
Triquell is one of the most unique and charismatic artists in the Catalan music scene. In 2023, he released his debut album, Entre fluids (Halley Records), which captivated audiences and critics alike thanks to its unmistakable stylistic diversity. This work took him to perform on over 80 stages across the region. This September, Triquell returns strong and presents his second album at the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic.
If there is one thing Francesc Fuentes Triquell’s music does not convey, it is euphoria. Or at least not the colorful and childish euphoria that reigned in the talent show that made him known. From Jugular (Halley Records, 2022) to FOMO (Halley Records, 2024), his latest EP, everything Triquell has done seems aimed at distancing himself from euphoria, in every sense. Both his self-aware lyrics —often uncomfortable with himself and the world around him— and his choice of sounds, which in FOMO approach psychedelic and dark electronic music, help consolidate the style of a musician who feels more comfortable under the shadows of irony and anxiety than under the lights of Eufòria.
