Guedra Guedra is a DJ-producer who loves to explore traditional Moroccan polyrhythms and innovate within the underground dance scene. His productions are defined by the energy of tribal basslines and the psychedelic vibe he draws from ancestral rhythms. In 2025, his next release will arrive under Domino Records.
What the hell is dancing for? Why do we need to gather and sync our bodies? What do we get out of clapping our hands, stomping our feet, or singing the same melody at the top of our lungs? Why do all cultures, without exception, have this wildly unproductive habit of singing and dancing in groups? The answer lies in the thickest books of ethnomusicology — but also in a Guedra Guedra set. This Casablanca-based producer travels across the African continent to record sounds, rhythms, dialogues, and chants, which he then remixes into electronic tracks that are celebration, discovery, and ritual.
