As she approaches twenty years since her debut album, Maika Makovski presents Bunker Rococó, a new record she describes as the best of her career. Recorded at The Playpen in Bristol, the album is produced by Ali Chant, who previously worked on other Maika projects like Maika Makovski and Chinook Wind, both produced by John Parish.

For a long time, I associated MAIKA MAKOVSKI with the RTVE show La Hora Musa. It was a music education program where she interviewed bands from the Spanish and international scenes and invited viewers to turn up the TV volume to enjoy live performances. What stayed with me about MAIKA from that show was the passion with which she spoke about music and the joy she conveyed. I’m really looking forward to seeing how all that enthusiasm translates into the new work of her personal project. Someone who makes us vibrate through the screen surely does the same on stage.
