Two lovers of the swamp blues (Pedro de Dios and Carlos Jimena) mixed a little Hound Dog Taylor, with Skip James, John Lee Hooker and R.L. Burnside, Screamin Jay Hawkins, Tampa Red, Elmore James and Son House. Later Paco Luis Martos joined with a primitive bass handcrafted from a zinc washing-up bowl, a wooden stick and a rope for starting a chainsaw. GUADALUPE PLATA is raw blues, dirty and winding, love letters from beyond the grave with an electrifying production.
