Salvar Doñana

Salvar Doñana is the new project by Curro Morales (formerly of Califato ¾ and NARCO) and Rosana Pappalardo (flamenco voice of Califato ¾), a Sevillian proposal that blends fast-paced synth-punk, melodic pop, and flamenco. Their self-titled album, released in late 2024, builds bridges between Suicide, SVPER, and Lole y Manuel. In 2025, they continue to expand this universe with new songs and an explosive live show shared with Moroccan artist Herminia Loh (Restinga).

SALVAR DOÑANA, a group rooted in Andalusian underground, postpunk, post-truth, released their debut self-titled album, Salvar Doñana (Raso Estudio, 2024). More recently, they presented "Nuestra foto en el Real," a unique and inimitable portrait where the cover shines and that might make you cry when you listen to it. Talking about the songs of Curro Morales and Roxana Pappalardo —former leader and vocalist of Califato ¾ respectively— we can happily call it musical asymmetry: flamenco, punk, indie, synth-pop, and many more. The blend of styles is extremely original, not just conceptually but musically too. It takes on undeniable meaning that also deepens and strengthens in the lyrics: “I don’t believe in gray destiny / but I do in the path. / If you follow it, you’re lost / if you lose it, you arrive here.” Like the Doñana natural park, they need to be cared for, listened to, and seen live to truly understand what we’re talking about.
