The Barcelona band Sidonie, formed by Axel Pi, Jesús Senra, and Marc Ros, is one of those bands that, in times of algorithmic tyranny, still make the album format relevant today. Since releasing Costa Azul back in 2007, all their works have been based on a concept that sets the tone for the entire album. This will also be the case with their upcoming full album in Catalan: Catalan Grafiti.
SIDONIE is an adventure. The adventure of forming a psychedelic band with your friends and having that save your life. The adventure of switching from English to Spanish. The adventure of flirting with the most radio-friendly pop and then making the hardest album to listen to in your discography. The adventure of living through the end of physical formats and entering the digital age. The adventure of being the worst band in the world when the world suddenly stops. They are the adventure of never stopping to explore, and right now they have ventured to make their first album entirely in Catalan. Let the adventure never stop and let SIDONIE never stop.
