Cristopher Pérez Quartet

Modern jazz with a unique identity and a sonic narrative that begins in Lanzarote and unfolds in Barcelona. Four musicians with five years of shared trajectory present a musical journey that transforms volcanic landscapes into emotion and texture. Tracks like Latidos and Flujo evoke earth, origin, and creation. A contemporary, intense, and deeply evocative project.

Like a volcano that knows how to hold back—and how to erupt; or like lava, flowing elegantly and with weight. CHRISTOPHER PÉREZ has been forged with that same strength. A native of Lanzarote, this saxophonist has just completed his studies in Barcelona, a city that welcomes and nurtures remarkable musicians (whether they stay is another story). Awarded by Juventudes Musicales de España for his quartet project and following in the footsteps of major jazz figures like the American legends Lester Young and Joshua Redman, PÉREZ masters contemporary jazz, though he also performs and collaborates in other formats. He’s one to watch.
